INTRODUCTION OF THE PRODUCT OWNER TRAINING

Being a professional Product Owner encompasses more than writing requirements or managing a Product Backlog. Product Owners need to have a concrete understanding of all product management aspects, including but not limited to product ownership, that drives value from their products.

Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) training course is the cutting-edge course for Product Owners, Agile product managers and anyone responsible for a software product’s success in the market. In this course, You will develop and solidify their knowledge of being a Product Owner through instruction and team-based exercises. The breadth of the role’s responsibilities in delivering a successful product will become more clear from an Agile perspective. Metrics are identied to track the creation of value and the successful delivery of the product to the marketplace.

The PSPO course is much more than just a set of slides and an instructor. In this course, you work on real-life cases with other classmates together as a team. This course is made up of discussions and hands-on exercises based upon real-life cases.

DEFINITION OF SCRUM

Scrum is a management and control process that cuts through complexity to focus on building software that meets business needs. Management and teams can get their hands around the requirements and technologies, never let go, and deliver working software, incrementally and empirically. It is a simple framework for effective team collaboration on complex software projects.

 

COURSE TOPICS

AGILE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

This module explains how agile product management maximizes the value of the developed product, which is the role of the Product Owner and which benefit it provides to the organization. Some techniques useful to develop the product business model, value proposition or strategic alignment are also included.

VALUEDRIVEN DEVELOPMENT

The primary job of a product manager is to increase the value created by the product for which he or she is responsible. This module focus on how to define and measure the added value, using a value-driven approach to the product management which usually beats the tradicional budget-driven approach. It also includes some Key Performance Indicators (KPI) useful in the agile product management.

SCRUM PRINCIPLES AND EMPIRICISM

This module introduces the Scrum theory which explains why this framework provides an effective approach to develop complex products and also for the organizational improvement.

THE SCRUM FRAMEWORK

This module deepens in the Scrum framework, including the description of its roles, artifacts, events and rules, and also its values and principles.

PRODUCT BACKLOG MANAGEMENT

The product backlog is the fuel that feeds the development team, and managing it is one of the primary roles of the Scrum Product Owner. This module deepen in tool and practices useful to effectively manage the backlog and maximize the value delivered.

RELEASE MANAGEMENT

A release is often the first step to realizing value. This modude present tool and techniques to plan and track the releases being developed for the customer.
